PM Narendra Modi a bit richer, HM Amit Shah slightly poorer this year, as per their asset declaration

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a bit richer this year, Home Minister Amit Shah is slightly poorer due to a decline in the value of shares held by him while Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s total worth in terms of assets remains exactly the same, as per their latest asset declarations made public by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

PM Modi is now worth nearly Rs 2.85 crore as of June 30, 2020, up from nearly Rs 2.49 crore worth of assets declared by him in 2019. The PM’s net worth has been increasing at a similar pace in the earlier years too as his savings grow. The increase this year is primarily in his bank balance by about Rs 3.3 lakh and an increase in the value of his bank fixed deposits by about Rs 33 lakh from last year. The rest of the PM’s assets remain largely the same, including a house in Gandhinagar worth Rs 1.10 crore at current value.
